Information collected

Ordinary browsing does not require a Maldives.is account. The website does not offer a contact submission form. If you email [email protected], your email address and the information you choose to include are received through our email service.

Hosting infrastructure may also process basic request information such as an IP address, browser or device details and security logs to deliver and protect the site.

Lumi site guide

Lumi uses this guide’s content and directory records. Conversations stay in the current browser tab and clear on reload or when you clear the chat. Questions are not sent to an external AI service or saved on the server as chat history. Loading the public directory on demand may appear in ordinary hosting request logs.

How information is used

Information you send by email is used to review corrections, respond to privacy requests and understand website feedback. Submitted information is not used to sell travel, take bookings or create public user profiles.

Published business information

The directory publishes public, business-facing resort and guesthouse phone numbers, non-personal email addresses and websites from reviewed operational records. It deliberately excludes street addresses, owner or lessee information, named staff contacts, private numbers and other personal details. A business or affected person can request a review by emailing [email protected].

Sharing, cookies and hosting

Personal submissions are not sold. They may be processed by the services required to host, secure and operate the website, or disclosed when legally required. The public guide does not currently use advertising trackers or behavioural advertising cookies.

Retention, security and your choices

Correspondence and any earlier website submissions are kept only for as long as reasonably needed to review the request, maintain an editorial record, protect the service or meet applicable obligations. Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used, but no online service can promise absolute security.

You may ask to access, correct or delete personal information you submitted. Email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy request”, using the same email address where possible so we can verify your request.
